General Terms and Conditions of “I am game”

I. General Provisions

  1. The operator of escape games under the name “I am game” (website www.iamgame.cz) is Cireli s.r.o., Jílkova 1985/151, 615 00 Brno, Company ID 08401225 (hereinafter the “Operator”). The place of business is Hybešova 69, 602 00 Brno.

  2. A customer of escape games under the name “I am game” (hereinafter the “Customer”) is a person who directly participates in the escape game (hereinafter the “Participant”), a person who purchases a gift voucher (hereinafter the “Voucher”), or a person who makes a reservation on the website www.iamgame.cz.

  3. The service being sold is an escape game, also known as an exit game or escape room (hereinafter the “Escape Game”).

  4. The game is supervised by a staff member present at the place of business and overseeing the course of the game (hereinafter the “Staff”).

  5. The admission fee refers to the price for participation in one Escape Game (hereinafter the “Admission Fee”).

  6. The Operator reserves the right to change or update these General Terms and Conditions at any time by publishing them on the website, effective from the date of publication. The current version of the Terms and Conditions is always available on the website.

II. Reservations and Participation

  1. Each Customer is entitled to participate in the Escape Game only on the basis of a telephone or online reservation and after payment of the full Admission Fee, or by presenting a Voucher with a unique code. Reservations are always confirmed by telephone or e-mail.

  2. Each Customer is obliged to provide truthful and complete information when making a reservation.

  3. Each Customer is obliged to follow the instructions given in the confirmation e-mail or by telephone.

  4. The Operator reserves the right to cancel any reservation in case of non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions, with a full refund of the Admission Fee if it has already been paid. The Customer will always be notified immediately by e-mail or telephone.

  5. Each Customer must ensure their own safety and the safety of other Participants and must strictly follow all safety and operational instructions and rules given by the Operator or Staff. A Participant who fails to comply may be excluded from the Escape Game. In such a case, there is no entitlement to a refund of the Admission Fee, not even partially.

  6. Before entering the Escape Game, each Participant is required to sign a declaration confirming that they have been informed of all safety and operational rules and undertake to comply with them. Without signing this declaration, the Participant will not be admitted to the reserved Escape Game and will not be entitled to a refund of the Admission Fee, not even partially.

  7. The Participant must arrive at the chosen Escape Game location at least 10 minutes before the start. In case of delay, the game time begins to run regardless of the Participant’s presence, without entitlement to a refund of the Admission Fee, not even partially.

  8. The Participant participates in the Escape Game at their own risk and responsibility.

  9. Participants under 15 years of age may only take part with the consent of a legal guardian or accompanied by another adult.

  10. The Participant acknowledges that they are monitored during the Escape Game to ensure safety and compliance with rules.

  11. A Participant who fails to follow rules, behaves inappropriately, spoils the experience for others, restricts or harms other Participants, or damages equipment may be excluded from the Escape Game without entitlement to a refund of the Admission Fee, not even partially. The same applies to a Participant who shows signs of intoxication or drug use. Such a person may also be denied entry to the premises, at the discretion of the Operator or Staff.

  12. The Operator reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone deemed unfit to take part in the Escape Game for health, safety, or operational reasons.

  13. No one is allowed to enter the Operator’s premises with weapons or other dangerous objects that may endanger health, life, or safety of others.

III. Admission Fee

  1. The price of the Admission Fee is determined by the current price list published on www.iamgame.cz. All listed prices are final. Based on a confirmed reservation, the Customer may pay the Admission Fee in cash on-site before the game, by bank transfer on the basis of an issued invoice (always before the start of the Escape Game and with the assigned variable symbol), through the Comgate payment gateway, or by entering the unique code received with a Voucher.

  2. If the Customer cancels the reservation less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, the Admission Fee is forfeited in favor of the Operator.

  3. A reservation may be canceled by telephone or e-mail communication.

IV. Audio-Visual Recordings

  1. Any making of audio-visual or other recordings at the Operator’s premises is strictly prohibited.

  2. After the Escape Game, souvenir photos are taken free of charge. The Operator reserves the right to use these photos for advertising and promotional purposes, unless the Participant expressly objects in writing.

V. Gift Vouchers

  1. Vouchers issued and sold by the Operator are bearer vouchers within the meaning of Section 1939 of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code. Upon presentation of such a Voucher and reservation of the Escape Game (the Voucher number must be provided during reservation), the holder is entitled to one Escape Game according to the type of Voucher. The holder may choose other Participants at their discretion.

  2. The Customer may purchase a Voucher in person at the Operator’s premises or via www.iamgame.cz.

  3. Payment for the Voucher is made in cash (if purchased in person), by bank transfer on the basis of an invoice with the assigned variable symbol, or via the Comgate payment gateway (if purchased online).

  4. For online purchases, once payment has been credited to the Operator’s account, the Voucher is sent to the e-mail address stated in the order, including the invoice.

  5. A Voucher may be returned within 14 days of purchase, provided it has not already been used for a reservation. The refund will only be made to the purchaser of the Voucher.

  6. The Voucher is valid for the period indicated on it. This period cannot be extended.

  7. The paid price of the Voucher is final.

  8. Both the purchaser and the holder of the Voucher acknowledge that they are obliged to keep the Voucher safe to prevent misuse or redemption by a third party. In such a case, the value of the redeemed Voucher will not be refunded.

VI. Complaints

  1. Complaints must be submitted by the Participant in writing to the Operator or Staff immediately after the Escape Game. Complaints may be made by requesting a discount from the price. The Participant must state the voucher number (if applicable) and describe the defects being claimed. The Operator or Staff must issue written confirmation that the complaint has been submitted, including its content and the requested resolution.

  2. The Operator will inform the Participant without undue delay how the complaint will be resolved and what the next steps will be.

VII. Personal Data Protection and Out-of-Court Settlement

  1. The protection of personal data of the purchaser, if a natural person, is provided by Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Personal Data, as amended.

  2. The purchaser agrees to the processing of the following personal data: name and surname, residential address, e-mail address, telephone number (hereinafter collectively referred to as “personal data”).

  3. Any personal data of the Customer is carefully stored and secured in accordance with applicable legislation, in particular Act No. 101/2000 Coll. Personal data obtained by the Operator may be used only for the Operator’s purposes and will never be provided to any third party.

  4. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, Company ID: 000 20 869, website: https://www.coi.cz, is competent for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes.

VIII. Other Provisions

  1. The Operator is not liable for any damage, loss of profit, or costs caused by malfunction of the website, telecommunication services, or IT network.

  2. The website may contain links to third-party resources and websites.

  3. The website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files used on the Internet to recognize visitors, simplify website access and use, monitor user preferences and commands, and collect information to improve website content. By using the website, the user consents to the use of cookies.

  4. The Operator is not liable for the operation, outages, or restrictions of banking systems servicing the payment systems and the payment gateway connected to the reservation and payment system.
